1 Plain flour 250 g
2 Condensed milk 30 g
3 Water 140 ml
4 Salt 1 tsp
5 Sugar 1 tbsp
6 Margarine 1 tbsp
7 Egg 1/4 each

Place flour into a bowl and add the water and condensed milk gradually mixing with your hands
Add salt and sugar and knead for 6-8 minutes
Rest dough aside for 2 hours covered in oil
Divide dough into 6 equal size balls and butter your hands to prevent dough from sticking
Coat the dough balls with the butter from the hands to seal the dough, rest again for a further 2 hours
Flatten the balls in the palm of your hands, they should be a round 2mm thickness
Fold in edges of the dough; you are trying to get a rectangular shape here. Fold edges to look like an envelope, set aside for cooking. See video in eLearn.
Gently heat oil as needed, and pan fry the bread, turning a few times to cook evenly on both sides
Roti is then crushed to serve
